Arthur's Seat

Hi! I’m Henry and today me and my brothers went to Arthur’s Seat. It was my first time going to it and we went all the way from Aberdeen. It took ages and ages. I felt so bored. I so wanted to go for a run. Every passing field was a missed opportunity, and yet my owners didn’t even see this. Most of them were asleep but I was alert. I had to stay on guard for cars, people and, most importantly, fields, kept whizzing past us.

Eventually my owners must have heard me and so we went on a walk. I actually jumped out of the car I was so happy to get my freedom. I wanted to run, to sprint. Yet I was put on my lead and told to behave. I did have fun during the walk though. It was a park and I went through the tunnels and up and around the skate park bit. It was funny seeing my owners being pulled along behind me. They think that the lead gives them control over me, but, really, it’s the other way around! The walk sadly only lasted a tiny bit compared to the giant amount spent in the car. My owners kept saying, ‘We must get back into the car!’. Why must we? It’s so boring in the car. There’s nothing to do. And yet they were adamant that we did.
…
After having lunch (tuna sandwiches- yum) we all finally reached our destination. After traveling for forever I think we got lost. Still it was okay. There were lots of hills for us to run up and the view from above was magnificent. But it was extremely windy. I thought I was going to get blown over!
Arthur is a cool guy. I thought it was going to be an actual bench that was on top of the hill, but it wasn’t. It was actually a hill that looked like a face! I still don’t know why it’s called Arthur’s Seat though. After all there were no seats there, much to my owner’s dismay. Though it did mean that I just got to keep walking which was fun!

Out of 5 stars, I would probably give it three. We got lost and went the wrong way and so it should be better identified which way we are to go. Often, we found that we would get stuck at a dead end. Compared to how long the journey was and how short the walk was I would not go back. After it took us all day, we only had an hour to spend there! Although the face was cool and it being historic was awesome it was too far away for what it was. It did teach my owners to be better prepared though!
