KEY POINTS:

Pack: For going to a park (e.g. sunglasses, sandals/ trainers, light waterproof).

Eat: A few dog cafes in the area but an equally nice spot to sit under the trees and have a picnic.(NOTE: Check the Kelvingrove schedule before you go because sometimes, usually in the summer time, events can be held making it a not so dog-friendly area).

I really liked Kelvingrove. There was a lot to do and a lot of doggy friends to say hello to! At first, we went down by the river. You can’t go down into it, but I tried! I so wanted to splash about.

There were lots of trees for me to sniff and birds for me to chase, though my owners didn’t approve of this. The amount of people that were around also wasn’t great because it meant I couldn’t bark, and there were a lot of bicycles for me to bark at. That said I did like Kelvingrove. It was a big walk and a lot to look at. You could also go on a several paths rather than one path being really full of people. I liked this. It meant I could run!

Some of my owners went inside the Kelvingrove Art Gallery. I didn’t like this part as I couldn’t go in. My owners told me that there was a dinosaur inside made up of several bones (my absolute dream!). Once the rest of my owners came back, I got to go further into Kelvingrove Park.

I desperately wanted to play with the kids at the skateboard park but, apparently, I can’t because I have four legs and so am not built for skateboarding. I personally think that I would be the best skateboarder in the world, but I’ll never have the chance to shine. It’s so unfair! Some dogs can surf, so why can’t I skate?

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Kelvingrove and would recommend it to all my doggy readers. It is right in the centre of Glasgow, giving us the chance to chase birds without having to care about cars but equally without being too far. It’s a quick escape to Paradise. There is a lot to see and a lot to sniff. If you’re in a group some of your human friends can go into the Kelvingrove Museum but remember to tell them to be quick. It’s apparently quite big and as us dogs can’t go in it can be quite a boring wait for us. Plus, we have a lot of investigating to do!
